Drawsy uses your device's camera to project a semi-transparent drawing guide onto your paper in real time. Simply hold your phone over a blank sheet, choose a drawing from the library, and the app overlays the outlines — you trace exactly what you see. No special equipment or prior drawing experience needed.
What drawing styles and categories are available?
Drawsy includes hundreds of drawings across Animals, Anime, Nature, Characters, Architecture and more. Each drawing comes in Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty levels so you can grow at your own pace. New categories are added regularly.
Can I use my own photos as a drawing reference?
Yes! Drawsy can convert any photo from your camera roll into a clean sketch guide. Just tap "Turn photo into art", select your image, and the app generates a step-by-step outline you can trace with the AR overlay.
Does the app work for complete beginners?
Absolutely. Drawsy was designed with beginners in mind. The AR overlay means you don't need to know how to draw freehand — you follow the guide at whatever speed suits you. As your confidence grows, try the Medium and Hard levels to develop your skills further.
Is Drawsy free to use?
Drawsy offers a free tier with access to selected drawings and the core AR guide feature. A Premium subscription unlocks the full library, photo-to-sketch conversion, all difficulty levels and an ad-free experience. Cancel any time from your App Store or Google Play account.
